This is a side project I created to learn new skills in the web and product space and solve a problem that I had always had.
Most restaurants run some sort of happy hour special or daily deal, but there is not one single resource you can use to find and compare various deals. On top of that, when you do find a deal, you are unsure if the deal is still available.
Build a website that aggregates all the food and drink deals in Cape Town. Build the entire project without ANY engineering support.
Explore the #nocode movement. Further my Webflow, Zapier and Airtable knowledge.
I used a bunch of #nocode tools to create a website that allows anyone to quickly find a food or drink deal in their area.
I structured all the data and make the entire site filterable and searchable through an Airtable database that would use Zapier to sync the deals back into Webflow and always keep it up to date.
This way I could manage large tables of data through Airtable only and was not required to go back in Webflow.
The product had a great response and was well appreciated by the restaurant community in Cape Town.
200+ newsletter subscribers.
500+ monthly visitors.
This was all achieved with zero marketing and organic traffic.
